What is BRInspector™?

BRInspector™ is a forms based product for building your own web-based inspection reporting system. Build your own forms to match your existing paper inspection forms, and speed up the entire process of performing inspections. Perform any kind of inspection; Property and Real Estate Inspections, Embedded Code Inspections, Permits and Construction, and AHJ Inspections.

How are forms created and published?

Forms are created in BRInspector™. When you first create a form, it is listed as "In Progress" and is visible only to you. After you have completed editing the form, and are ready to begin using it, choose the option to "Finish & Publish", which will make the form visible to others in your Organization.

Can I capture digital signatures in the BRInspector™ program?

Yes. Digital signatures can be added to any form in BRInspector™.

What kind of Palm™ hand held unit can I use with BRInspector™ ?

Almost any kind Palm™ you can buy today.

You can use any of the following Palm™ units with our applications. However, only the ones that have a scanner (*) can read bar codes used in the scan series of applications.

• Any Palm™ Unit Palm OS™ 3.5 or later, including Sony™, Palm™, Handspring™, & Others

How fast and easy is the software to use?

BRInspector™: From paper to Palm™, it's much faster, secure, and cheaper than doing it on paper or any other way for that matter. You build your own forms online to match your existing ones, and revise them again later to make them even faster. The form can change as much as you like. Versions are always kept up to date.

Scan series of applications: With our InstantRecall™ and OnePass™ technology, the scanning is fast and simple. A few quick stylus clicks on the screen and you are done in seconds! It takes a lot less time than manually entering data on a bulky bar code reader or lap top computer, or even handwriting the information down on paper as you might be doing now. We guarantee it is the fastest method for gathering important inspection data and publishing your own customized reports.

What about updates to Palm™ applications and software support?

Periodic updates to these applications are included in your Membership Account and may be down loaded when you login using your login ID and password. You are always assured of the latest update for that particular application at no additional cost. If the most recent version is not available for download, (beta or update) you may obtain it by Email.

Can I scan bar codes in BRInspector™?

Yes. You can scan virtually any type of bar code in BRInspector™. If you plan on bar coding and tracking fire related equipment, you should use one of the scan series of products.

How do my forms get distributed to Inspectors?

Forms you have published in BRInspector™ are automatically distributed to Inspectors whenever they login and sync their completed forms. Deployment is easy and simple, and requires no user intervention.

What if I change my form later?

Forms are created and stored according to Form ID and Version. If you update your form, users will receive the updated form automatically. Past inspections are always displayed to the user in the version of the form that was used at the time of inspection. This way your forms are always up to date, yet your past inspections are unaffected by the change.

Can I edit forms or reports online?

Yes. If you have the proper login credentials, you can edit forms and reports online. Inspectors can edit their own inspections, and managers can edit any inspection in their organization.

Viewers whom you assign a login ID and password are not given editing rights to your forms and reports. They can view only.

Can others see forms I have in progress?

The form is not visible to anyone but you. When you finish and publish the form, it will be automatically distributed to other users, and your form will appear in their list of Organization forms.

Can I print forms in the field?

Yes. BRInspector™ supports printing to any IRda equipped Laser Jet printer via the Infrared port on the handheld device. You may also use a serial cable with certain Palm™ models. See the manufacturer specification for more information.
